Rhonda Cain, RN
Rhonda is a Board Certified Nurse Coach working in Chronic Care Management at the University of Kansas Health System. She completed the Advancing Holistic Health Nurse Coaching program with emphasis on The Resilience Paradigm. Rhonda is passionate about local food in Kansas City and helping others to experience the mind, body, spirit, environment approach to nutrition and overall well-being.
Rhonda began a journey of self-exploration when entering her 40s after experiencing several health issues discovering the food she was eating was the culprit of inflammation, pain, fatigue, thyroid disease, and depression. Realizing the limitations and expense in the grocery stores for organic, whole foods and the environmental impact, Rhonda developed relationships with local farmers throughout the Kansas City area becoming an advocate for local food promoting the holistic health benefits of eating a whole food diet primarily within a 50 mile radius of home and as seasonally as possible.
Rhonda has termed herself a “locavore”, in love with all things KC local, sports fanatic and wine enthusiast. She is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association and active with her local chapter. Rhonda enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her son, family, and three Poodles, as well as gardening and cooking.
