Rosie Turner Chaney, RN was born in Germany but has resided in Long Beach, California since 1968. Currently working as a mother baby registered nurse leader, Rosie has a 40 year healthcare career. She holds a maters’s degree in nursing. Quite the philanthropist, Rosie is always the first person to give back to the community and has done her fair share in homeless services. As a professional and dedicated woman of the 6th District, Rosie has served as a member of the NAACP Long Beach Health cabinet, and also a member of the counties Black Infant Health and Prenatal health outreach. Her motivation and forward thinking is attributed to her son, Joseph Chaney. She is a sought after motivational speaker and entertains all audiences with you her humor and ability to keep it real. She is the mistress of ceremonies (MC) at Life Checkup Holistic Playshop & Wellness Retreat. She creatively introduces each speaker in a way that allows you to connect with them well before they begin speaking.
Kelly has a passionate vision: that of empowering women and girls in their perceptions of themselves, their relationship to the world, the natural leaders they are, the difference they make, and having them be fully self-expressed as the powerful beings they are.
Kim is a retired RN, having spent 13 years lovingly caring for women, families and their babies as a labor and delivery nurse. She is now dedicating herself to assisting single women and men as well as couples, in the self-discovery of what true intimacy and vulnerability can offer clients personally as well as to all those around them.
Shonda Broom also known as Da Holistic Gypsy is the owner of Coram Deo Holistic Center. She is a Holistic Health Practitioner, Herbalist, LOA Practitioner, Chakrologist & Crystal Therapist. She specializes in emotional/energetic healing, natural health, spiritual guidance and helping individuals reach their full potential through teaching a variety of online classes in herbalism, spirituality and other esoteric/occult education. Shonda has a nonprofit HIV Awareness movement called #KnowUrStatus encouraging Global HIV testing. Coram Deo Holistic Center engages in community events geared towards helping individuals bring balance into their lives through different holistic practices. Shonda is the chapter founder and leader of the Bayou Region of Southeast Louisiana of AHNA and member of American Cannabis Nurses Association.
Vergis Bourgeois, Jr. known by most as “Sunshine” has been a leader in Holistic Healing and Wellness for over 3 decades. Sunshine tours internationally, presenting his inspirational messages and meditative healing techniques. Although he graduated with a BS in Electronics from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, he began his journey into wellness when he was in search of a holistic path to improve his own body temple. He has supported, mentored and trained thousands of people how to safely transition off of meat to a whole foods plant based diet.
Christina Conner is from Missouri but got to Texas as soon as she could. She’s been a spiritual seeker all her life, has a diversified background but found her calling at Unity of Houston where she came on staff in 1992 and became a Licensed Unity Teacher in 2001. She also trained in 2002 to become a Certified Laughter Leader and has been featured in the Houston Chronicle, in ADDitude Magazine and on Channel 2. Christina is a writer, has been published in the book, Hot Chocolate for Mystical Lovers, Always Hope and published her first book, You Deserve It, under the pen name of Marisa Bellami.

She completed the Advancing Holistic Health Nurse Coaching program with emphasis on The Resilience paradigm. Rhonda is passionate about local food in Kansas City and helping others to experience the mind, body, spirit, environment approach to nutrition and overall well-being.
Rhonda began a journey of self-exploration when entering her 40s after experiencing several health issues discovering the food she was eating was the culprit of inflammation, pain, fatigue, thyroid disease, and depression. Realizing the limitations available in the grocery stores for organic, whole foods and the environmental impact, Rhonda developed relationships with local farmers throughout the Kansas City area becoming an advocate for local food promoting the holistic health benefits of eating a whole food diet primarily within a 50 mile radius of home and as seasonally as possible.
My purpose is to educate, inform and empower. I encourage people to make their choices from a perspective of health and wholeness – so they may partake in the abundance the Universe has to offer all of us.

Elicia Baker-Rogers has over 36 years of professional nursing experience. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice – Integrative Health and Healing (DNP-IHH), from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, MN in May 2017. She completed her MS (Occupational Health Nursing) and BSN degrees at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI.
She is a 20-year Veteran of the United States Navy, Nurse Corps. Her distinguished leadership positions in the military encompass: Director of Public Health Services; Department Head of Occupational Health; Department Head of Wellness; Department Head of Case Management; and Department Head of Performance Improvement. Her military assignments include: two tours overseas in Guam and Rota, Spain; a humanitarian mission to Africa (Ghana and Senegal) as the sole Community Health Nurse; and four state-side tours in San Diego, CA; Charleston, SC; Camp Pendleton, CA; and Cherry Point, NC.
